Parking in Thorngumbald, Camerton and Ryehill

There is plenty of on-street parking within our parish, although there are also double yellow lines where you may not park unless you are a 'Blue Badge' holder. If you are visiting Thorngumbald Village Hall there is a car park at the rear of the building.

We would ask that you are considerate when dropping your child off at school and not park within the zig-zag lines outside the school.

Parking Powers

East Riding of Yorkshire Council will take over all aspects of parking enforcement from 3 October 2011. This means that the council have sought civil parking enforcement (CPE) powers following Humberside Police's decision to withdraw its traffic warden service due to other statutory obligations.

The council has a legal obligation to keep highways free moving, safe and available to all users and will now enforce all parking regulations in the East Riding.
